We are seeking a dedicated Talent and Culture Manager for a full-time (on-site) fixed-term contract of six months to cover an employee on parental leave. This opportunity is perfect for a human resources professional who is experienced in all generalist HR functions and passionate about people to step up into a management role or make the move into a luxury hotel.Reporting to the Director of Talent and Culture, the key responsibilities of this role are to:Oversee and manage all generalist HR functions to support the wider team in delivering quality and maintaining our luxury standardsEnsure the smooth day-to-day operations of the HR departmentSupervise and mentor the Talent and Culture Coordinator, and manage department internsFoster professional development, personal connection and a luxury focus within the hotelImplement HR policies and procedures that align with hotel goals and industry regulationsSupport recruitment efforts, employee relations, performance management, and training programsReport on HR metrics and develop actions to enhance employee engagement and retention.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field; HR certification is a plusMinimum of five years of HR experience, preferably within the hospitality industryStrong knowledge of HR best practice, employment laws, and regulations in AustraliaExcellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skillsA passion for people and a luxury attitude, with a focus on guest serviceKeen attention to detail with a focus quality and accuracyAbility to handle information with confidentiality and integrity.Additional InformationBring your pride and passion, luxury attitude and humble excellence to Sofitel Brisbane Central, and we will recognise your contribution with a variety of benefits, rewards and development opportunities.
