Church Hill Anglican seeks a gospel-hearted person to join our ministry team.
ROLE SUMMARY
To assist Church Hill in achieving its mission by coordinating and leading a Gospel-focused children's ministry. The Childrens' Minister will work closely with, and report directly to the Rector.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Lead weekly Kids' Church and Youth program on Sundays 10:30am-3pm (3 age groups)
* Manage Creche/Toddler group at the 4pm Service
* Develop teaching curriculum
* Ensure all children's ministry programs comply with safe ministry requirements
* Recruit, train, mentor and mobilise children's ministry leaders
* Liaise with youth ministry team
* Plan In-house children's ministry leader's training
* Liaise with parents/guardians regarding children's ministry matters
* Plan programmes/pack/activities for NSW School holidays
* Assist in planning Christmas Eve Kids' Carols Service
* Assist in planning Rivendell Kids' Programme
* Teach one SRE class at Fort Street Primary
The role requires working on set days:
* All day Sunday – 10:30am Church Hill Kids and Youth; 4pm Church Hill Kids
* Tuesday Morning – Staff Meeting
* Friday morning - SRE (Fort Street Public School)
* Possibility of an after school kids' club
EXPECTATIONS OF THE CANDIDATE
* A sense of call and passion for working with children and team members
* Experience in Children's Ministry
* Current Working with Children Check and Safe Ministry Training
* Theological qualifications or study
* Healthy EQ

This is a part-time position, of between 3 days per week. With the right candidate, we can hire someone at 4 days.
The position is available as now.
In recognition of the candidate's role in the ministry, Church Hill will remunerate the position in line with Anglican Church of Sydney's guidelines.
