About the opportunity:
University of Canberra School-based Teacher Education Program (UCSTEP) is an innovative employment-based pathway for Master of Primary and Secondary Teaching students. From day one, UCSTEP students will be employed as Teaching Fellows in ACT government schools.
To deliver this groundbreaking program, the University of Canberra is seeking dedicated professionals for the following roles. Students will receive support from a school-based mentor and a UCSTEP instructional coach.
As the Director of UCSTEP you will be providing overall program leadership, engaging with school and system leaders, delivering professional learning for mentors and instructional coaches, and teaching selected units within the program.
Essential requirements for this role:
A Master of Education degree or equivalent (PhD desirable), experience as a teacher, and experience in educational leadership roles within schools and/or school systems.
