The Role Reporting to a Director in the Platform, Architecture and Cyber Branch, the IT Team Leader (Management) will lead and manage a team of technology professionals (including Solution Architects, Developers, Designers, and Cyber professionals) who are outposted to multidisciplinary delivery teams, within the department.
You do not need to be a Solution Architect, Cloud Developer, Web Developer, or Cyber Professional to be successful in this role. However, you must have an understanding of IT concepts, the Service Delivery Lifecycle, agile delivery, and the role of technology to support project delivery.
You will work with planning teams, Project Management Offices, and platform teams to understand the demand for Solution Architects, Developers, Cloud Engineers, and Cyber roles and the necessary skills to support projects. You will work to recruit technology professionals with relevant skills and experience.
Duties And Responsibilities Responsibilities of the EL1 may include:
Lead and manage a team of IT technology professionals. Ensure specialists are scheduled to do work for planning and estimation. Ensure technical design documents/artefacts are produced in a manner suitable for re-use. Ensure compliance with governance requirements and architectural standards. Continuously improve the capability of the team. Identify opportunities to build technical skills within the department. Manage your team's budget, resources, skills, and work scheduling. Represent the department on non-technical matters. Provide advice on matters relating to the Digital Division's capability.
