This is an exciting career opportunity to work as an Assistant in Nursing (AIN) as part of our dynamic nursing team at Northern Beaches Hospital. The Public Mental Health Ward, also known as Ward 3C, will see you working alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.
As an Assistant in Nursing, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Assisting nurses or hospital staff in carrying out patient care duties
2. Working as part of the healthcare team, practicing in accordance with state legislation and within designated scope of practice parameters
3. Assessing patients using therapeutic skills
4. Answering patient/visitor/customer enquiries

To be successful in this role, you will require:
* More than 2 years' experience in a mental health setting
* Excellent customer service skills
* Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication
* Excellent ability to plan and prioritise work
* Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
* Experience working in the private healthcare system
* Flexibility to manage shift work (including day and night shifts) over 7 days
