The Role
The APS 4 HR/administration officer position will be responsible for the following, but not limited to:
1. Accountable to perform a range of procedural, operational and administrative activities and tasks within established guidelines and procedures;
2. Provide advice and support within their Human Resources function to internal and external stakeholders, seeking assistance from supervisor for more complex issues;
3. Understand and apply legislation, policies and procedures to achieve business outcomes within their work area;
4. Apply knowledge and experience to recommend and implement solutions to administrative/hr issues;
5. Build and sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, exchange information to achieve business outcomes;
6. Work collaboratively in a team based environment actively participating in and contributing to team meetings, and supporting the work area and team objectives;
7. Interpret and apply relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
The HR/Administration Officer may be required to work on an occasional weekend and Tuesday nights as part of the Army Reserve parade format.

Our Ideal Candidate
The HR/Administration Officer will work within a small team to perform the day-to-day support tasks associated with administrative and personnel management functions at 9RQR. Tasks will be performed under general direction working within established Defence and Army policies and procedures utilising Defence's personnel information management and records management systems.
The applicant, upon successful selection must be prepared to apply for an Australian Government security clearance.
