The role
Strategically and operationally, this role is about driving world’s best practice initiatives to ensure Auto & Generals Property Portfolio is market leading in their process and systems efficiency, partnerships with suppliers and focusing on balancing cost containment, process friction and customer care.
This role will have a strategic commercial focus role. The core focus will be creating a competitive landscape through effective reshaping and reimagining of our process, network design and execution with an emphasis on strategic and complex insurance repair supplier engagement.
You will:
* Ensure the effective and efficient delivery of the strategic and execution functions of the A&G Australia Insurance business, across Home product lines distributed through Direct brands, White label, and Aggregation partnership businesses
* Maximise the customer experience, operational efficiency, average repair cost, cost controls across the business
* Develop systems and tools to monitor and manage contract deliverables, service levels and commercial outcomes
* Assist with defining and execution of business plans and communicate and manage objectives to achieve the Supplier Sourcing and business financial goals.
* Manage and undergo sourcing exercises and negotiations for contracts and tenders to achieve the best possible commercial outcome while monitoring existing arrangements to ensure these are value adding
* Lead, coach, develop, and manage the senior management team with an emphasis on developing capability in strategic alignment and technical delivery, process optimisation and people care as well as providing guidance & mentorship to those in your team
* Develop and implement policy with regards to supplier management as well as developing new capabilities and programs that develop a true, cost-effective repair service platform
* Provide contract management support to project teams throughout the contract life cycle
* Identify and realise market and internal opportunities to create a competitive advantage
* Develop new, and redefine, existing commercial relationships to right size the growing scale of our network of repairers, as well as aligning behaviours and ultimately culture to our core service proposition to ensure a seamless customer journey
What experience you’ll bring
* Claims and/or significant Insurance Industry experience preferred
* Demonstrated best practice strategic procurement, including centralisation of commercial strategies and achievement of significant cost savings
* Exceptional understanding of financial levers, a high degree of commercial acumen with the ability to negotiate business outcomes and superior communication skills
* Track record of success driving performance through accountability for results and a performance culture
* Significant knowledge of the delivery of services and products through traditional Customer Service channels as well as Digital and Omni Channel strategies
* Track record of exploiting technology to solve customer and operational challenges in a large enterprise environment would be an advantage
* Demonstrated success at implementing and delivering on operational efficiency / business process enhancement initiatives whilst maintaining an engaged committed organizational culture committed to continuous improvement
