About the Role
This position provides vital support to young people in the Southwest region through office-based, telehealth, and outreach counselling services. You will be based out of 3 high schools and our Bunbury Office, to deliver brief interventions and individual counselling to young people and their families (where appropriate). Other tasks include:
* Maintain up-to-date client records and comply with data collection standards.
* Participate in clinical case reviews and multidisciplinary team meetings.
* Support the Intake team in managing capacity as required by conducting intake and assessments.
About You
To be considered for this position, applicants will have:
* Tertiary qualification (Bachelor or higher) in Counselling, Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, or Mental Health Nursing and appropriate professional registration or membership with a professional body (e.g., AHPRA, AASW, ACA).
* Demonstrated experience with evidence-based clinical practices for addressing complex mental health issues in young people and families.
* Experience in conducting risk assessments, developing safety plans, and providing follow-up support and referrals.
* Capacity to work independently and dynamically to adapt to the needs of young people, and collaboratively within a team environment to ensure best outcomes.
* A current 'C' Class Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle for outreach to schools is essential (mileage reimbursed).
