About the Role:
The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking a driven Consultant Psychiatrist to join the Adult Community Mental Health team.
As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive assessment, treatment and management of adult patients with a wide range of psychiatric disorders. Key responsibilities include:
o Conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments and developing individualised treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs.
o Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals to ensure seamless and coordinated care.
o Providing expert clinical guidance and supervision to junior medical staff and trainees.
o Participating in regular case conferences, team meetings and professional development activities.
Minimum Requirements:
To be eligible for this position, you must hold a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award.
Applicants nearing completion of Fellowship or the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (or equivalent) will be considered and are encouraged to apply.
