Horticulturist required for an immediate start with the City of Gold Coast Council Your new company Are you an experienced Horticulturist looking for a new challenge? Hays Specialist Recruitment is seeking talented individuals to join the City of Gold Coasts Maintenance branch. Your new role Enjoy the outdoors and the stunning scenery of the Gold Coast while taking charge of maintaining and enhancing council areas. Your responsibilities will include a variety of tasks to keep our parks and gardens in pristine condition and ensure that the community enjoys well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing outdoor areas. You will be involved in: Planting new flora to beautify public spaces Pruning trees and shrubs to ensure healthy growth Mulching to protect plant roots and retain soil moisture Mowing lawns and removing green waste to keep areas tidy and inviting Handle weed removal and spraying to maintain the health of the plants Use leaf blowers to clear pathways and open spaces Operate chainsaws and pole saws for trimming and cutting tasks What you will need to succeed We are looking for dedicated and detail-oriented individuals who take pride in their work. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proven reliability and a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, the ability to work well in a team setting and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
