About the Role
We’re looking for a Procurement Manager – Technology to join our awesome team at BOQ Group. This position oversees the entire procurement lifecycle, including planning, sourcing, contract negotiation, and management, as well as stakeholder and supplier management. This role oversees a portfolio of technology suppliers and contracts within Financial Services, encompassing Managed Services, Cyber Infrastructure, Application Management, Networks and Software.
In this role, you will work with Technology Group Executive, Technology General Managers, and key support functions like Legal and Finance, as well as external suppliers and strategic vendors.
The main goal is to deliver technology procurement solutions that maximise value, manage risk, improve efficiencies, and ensure quality for the BOQ Group. Your key responsibilities will include developing technology strategic sourcing solutions, analysing category and supplier data, performing market analysis, identifying savings opportunities, obtaining stakeholder approval for sourcing strategies, developing category plans, leading market engagement activities, negotiating contracts, ensuring supplier performance, and promoting innovative outcomes. Additionally, the role focuses on risk management, delivering cost savings, and fostering strong business stakeholder relationships.
About you
We’re looking for someone who can rock the technology procurement world! If you’ve got experience handling the technology procurement lifecycle, from ‘Go to Market’ activities to negotiating high-stakes contracts, you’re already on our radar. You’ve spent over five years in technology strategic sourcing, ideally in a centralised, multi-category setup, and you’re no stranger to procurement tech, spend analysis, and supplier risk management.
You’ll need to be a pro at managing stakeholders, communicating effectively, and building relationships up to the executive level. Your commercial and data-driven procurement skills should be top-notch, and you should be able to tailor your advice to different management levels with ease. We’re looking for someone who can collaborate like a champ, solve problems on the fly, and develop winning strategies. Strong communication and presentation skills are a must, and you should bring accountability, energy, enthusiasm, and a “can-do” attitude to the table. If you can work autonomously and meet strict deadlines, we want to hear from you!
