About the role:
Supports the Chef / Chef Manager and peers in delivering a high quality catering service within the home.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensures the catering service adheres to all regulatory and compliance requirements.
* Completes all appropriate food safety record forms as per legislation requirements.
* Ensures that all duties are worked in accordance with the Food Safety Program at all times.
* Ensures uniforms, protective clothing and footwear are worn whilst in the workplace.
* Folllows strategies in the Food Safety Plan to prevent cross contamination from occurring.
What you bring:
* Basic Food Safety Practices Certificate (Health Care Competencies).
* Minimum 12 months experience in a similar role in residential care, healthcare or hospitality sectors.
* Current valid Australian work rights.
* Knowledge and experience in safe food handling.
* A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation.
