About The Role We're looking for a skilled and trade-qualified Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic/Plant Technician to join our team on a permanent full-time basis in Geelong, Melbourne.
In this dynamic role, you'll be at the forefront of servicing, repairing, and maintaining our specialized fleet vehicles.
Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring peak performance and longevity of our fleet, directly contributing to the seamless operation of our organization.
Working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, your key responsibilities will include:
Perform routine maintenance tasks, inspections, and repairs on our heavy diesel vehiclesUtilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and rectify faults in vehicle systemsImplement and execute preventive maintenance schedules to minimise breakdowns and maximise vehicle reliabilityMaintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance and repair activitiesComplete works in an efficient and timely manner for both planned and unplanned maintenance tasksPromote a safe work environment by following proper safety protocols and using appropriate PPEAbout You To be successful for this role, you will have:
Mechanical trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic is essentialPrevious experience working on Vac Tricks highly desirableProven experience as a Diesel Fitter / Heavy Diesel Mechanic, with expertise in repairing and maintaining heavy diesel-powered vehicles, previous Volvo experience highly desirableStrong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilityThe ability to work to schedules with strong time managementBe prepared to work overtimeWhite Card and unrestricted HR licence highly regardedAbility to pass a pre-employment medical and national police clearanceWhat We Offer TDG Environmental values its employees and recognizes the importance of benefits.
