The Role
The Aquatic Duty Manager's primary responsibility is to oversee the safety, evacuation and operation of the entire centre in the absence of the Centre Manager and to direct day to day activities of the café, aquatics, health club, sports programmes, private hires, events and customer service staff. They are also responsible for pool plant systems which requires technical knowledge of plant rooms and water quality principles.
This role requires an individual who is a leader and can keep cool under pressure. You should be energetic, dynamic, outgoing and fun. You will need outstanding communication skills and a commitment to customer service excellence to ensure our patrons safely enjoy their visit every time.
Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability to communicate and interact effectively with patrons that have a diverse range of ages, abilities, cultures and needs. Lifeguard experience required and variety of evening shifts during the week.
Skills & Attributes:
1. Strong leadership experience with an ability to inspire others
2. Excellent verbal communication skills
3. An understanding of OHS and public safety applications within your facility
4. Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends
5. Current First Aid (Level 2) & Current CPR Certificate
6. National Police Check
7. Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
8. Current Pool Operations Certificate is desirable
Previous experience and success in a comparable role is not essential but highly regarded! Full training will be provided
