Suitable candidates are sought to fill an Electrical Tradesperson position at Pioneer Mill to join the Rolling Stock Team.
This position has elements of shift work during the crushing season and day work during the maintenance season.In this position, you will gain a range of electrical work and experience within the Mobile Plant & Communication systems area.
This position requires a reasonable amount of overtime and some weekend work.Position DescriptionThe main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Assisting in the identification of the scope of work requiredTroubleshooting of equipment breakdowns and fault reportingProviding a maintenance service to other Mill departments that involves the completion of planned and unplanned maintenance and capital projects safely, on time, and to the required standardBeing a role model for apprentices within the teamInstalling, repairing, maintaining, and testing equipment within training level providing it is legal, logical, and safe to do soEnsuring work orders and related permits are completed and filled out correctlyOperating in a work-based team environment and participating in other teams and panels as requiredCompliance with all safety procedures, safe work instructions, legislation, and rulesBeing available for call-outs or overtimeWorking within a small but multi-skilled team to keep mobile plant in a safe and reliable conditionAssisting in servicing and maintaining mobile plant and rolling stock equipmentExperience RequiredQLD Electrical fitter/mechanic licenceThe ideal candidate may have:A commitment to continuous improvement including safety and environmentCurrent LVR / CPRConfined Space and Working at HeightsExperience with Schneider Electric PLCProven self-starter attributes, self-motivated with highly developed organisational skillsAbility to guide, communicate and support others, and work in a team environmentInstrumentation experience would be desirableA genuine interest in mobile plant and control communication systemsHow to applyConfidential applications should be submitted online by 5pm on Sunday 19th January 2025 by hitting the "Apply" button.
