The Opportunity
The opportunity exists for qualified Diesel / Mechanical Fitters who will be responsible for carrying out a range of mechanical work and associated activities in an efficient and effective manner.
You’ll be required to use your knowledge, skills and experience in delivering exceptional outcomes in a team environment or individually, while maintaining a safe and productive culture and having a positive impact on the community in which they operate.
The job requires performance of duties in a workshop and/or site operations, minor servicing and maintenance, general housekeeping and labour duties associated with site operations.
About You
o Qualification in Engineering – Mechanical / Diesel fitting / Mobile plant or equivalent
o Current QLD open drivers’ licence
o General Construction Induction (white card)
o Competency to operate plant and tools, as required
o Experience in mechanical service, repairs and maintenance
o Service, construct, install, repair and finish work to quality standards
o Identify faults, service, maintain, tune and test plant and mobile equipment
o Competent in the setup and use of mechanical equipment and ‘tools of the trade’, including air, electric and hand tools, welding equipment, measuring and electronic equipment, machining and other equipment, and plant machinery
o Skilled in fabrication, assembly and installation of parts and materials
o Ability to carry out minor body and trim repairs
o Perform labouring duties including stacking materials and general housekeeping
