Quality Assurance & Control (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics) Muir is a Tasmanian-based maritime manufacturing and engineering business that produces world-renowned high-quality anchoring equipment for marine vessels across the full range of sizes. We are now looking for a full-time Quality Assurance Officer & Warranty Coordinator, ideally with experience in quality assurance processes, to help ensure the continued excellence of our marine equipment products. You will play a key role in overseeing quality across the full project lifecycle—from pre-production and in-process checks to post-production and warranty management. You will be part of an experienced team, reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager and General Manager. You will be heavily involved in our major marine equipment projects and continuous improvement initiatives, working closely with Design, production, sales, and customers to ensure product quality and satisfaction. In this role, you will need to demonstrate: Practical understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles Experience in quality assurance processes, including pre-production reviews, inspections, and audits Excellent problem-solving skills to quickly resolve quality issues and prevent delays Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and ISO 9001:2015 standards Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and liaise with customers Proficiency in using MS Excel, Word, and other reporting tools Preferred Education and Experience: Degree or equivalent qualification in Quality, Engineering, or a related field Background in Design, Manufacturing, or Trade Familiarity with formal manufacturing processes such as LEAN or SIX SIGMA (preferred) In addition, the following will be highly regarded: Experience with warranty processes and managing after-sales service Trade background in manufacturing and/or fabrication Experience in the marine industry or with marine-related activities Varying levels of experience are invited to apply.
