About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to drive revenue growth, manage key industry partnerships, and oversee our social media marketing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who understands the local tourism landscape, has strong networking skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
As our Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing sales strategies to increase bookings, maintain strong relationships with local agents, Online Travel Agencies (OTAs), inbound tour operators, and wholesalers, and bring innovative ideas to tackle post-COVID industry challenges.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and execute sales strategies to increase direct and agent bookings.
2. Build, negotiate contracts and maintain relationships with travel agents, wholesalers, OTAs, and inbound operators.
3. Source, negotiate, and manage group bookings, ensuring seamless coordination and maximising revenue from corporate, educational, and special interest groups.
4. Identify, engage, and manage relationships with influencers and content creators, including negotiating contracts, setting deliverables, and ensuring ROI from influencer partnerships.
5. Lead and oversee the social media employee, ensuring marketing efforts align with sales strategies.
6. Monitor market trends and competition to adapt strategies proactively.
7. Collaborate with internal teams to optimise customer experiences and maximise revenue.
8. Work closely with management to identify growth opportunities and new product offerings.
9. Oversee marketing and branding for the company and ordering of uniforms and merchandise.
Qualifications & Experience
1. Minimum 2 years of experience in a sales management role, preferably in the tourism industry.
2. Strong knowledge of the local tourism market and key industry players.
3. Experience working with OTAs, inbound operators, and wholesalers.
4. Proven ability to negotiate contracts and drive revenue growth.
5. Highly organised, excellent communication, positive attitude, with strong attention to detail and time management skills.
6. Understanding of the challenges the tourism industry has faced since COVID and the ability to develop innovative solutions.
7. Experience leading a small team (e.g., social media or marketing staff).
8. Strong computer skills and tech-savviness, including proficiency in Microsoft apps, online booking platforms, digital marketing tools, and data analytics.
