We are committed to cultivating an equal, diverse, and inclusive environment for our staff, residents, and stakeholders.Job DescriptionThe Opportunity We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Service Worker (CSW) to join our team in a part-time role, offering flexible day, evening, and weekend shifts across a 24/7 roster, 34 hours per fortnight. As a CSW, you will engage with clients in various settings, including independent work or alongside colleagues. Your responsibilities will vary based on client needs, allowing you to focus on either direct client support or essential housekeeping and meal preparation tasks. This role provides a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals while contributing to a supportive and positive community environment.What you'll do Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality, client-focused services aligned with program goals.Assist clients with daily living tasks, including meal preparation, housekeeping, and developing independent living skills.Support case workers with administrative tasks, such as preparing intake documentation and managing client files.Monitor client safety and wellbeing, providing crisis management and support as necessary.Participate in client handovers and reviews, effectively communicating client needs and issues.Facilitate group activities aimed at enhancing clients' skills and promoting engagement.Perform administrative duties, including answering calls, triaging client requests, and managing maintenance requests.Maintain cleanliness in shared spaces and assist with food handling and preparation as needed.Desired Skills and ExperienceWhat you'll bring: To thrive in the role of Community Service Worker (CSW), you will bring a strong combination of relevant qualifications, hands-on experience, and a deep commitment to supporting vulnerable clients. Your background will include extensive work with individuals facing complex challenges, particularly women from diverse backgrounds. You'll possess a solid understanding of mental health issues and the principles of trauma-informed care, along with essential skills for crisis management and client support.
