Tacobar Seaford is looking for a qualified and experienced Full-time Chef to join our team. Salary Range – $70,000 - $75,000Business Location – Seaford VIC 3198 Responsibilities · Develop and design the menu with a focus on fresh, local ingredients.· Lead and manage the kitchen team, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.· Oversee kitchen operations including inventory, ordering, and cost control.· Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment.· Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.· Plan orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages.· Directing kitchen operations and managing kitchen staff· Staying up to date with culinary trends and kitchen processes.· Discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff· Monitor food inventory, order supplies, and manage kitchen budgets to control costs effectively.· Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.· Handle special requests and accommodate dietary restrictions while maintaining taste and quality.· Maintain strong vendor relationships and negotiate pricing to optimize ingredient quality and cost.· Handle customer feedback and resolve any food-related issues promptly and professionally. Skills and Qualifications AQF associate degree, Certificate III, Certificate IV, or Diploma certification in relevant Hospitality qualification.Prior Experience as a Chef.Strong Knowledge of Cooking Methods and operating kitchen tools and equipmentAbility to work Full TimeFlexible to work on a rotating roster.
