About the Position We specialize in the technical manufacture and assembly of steel components for the industrial and government sectors. In this position, you will be a part of the estimating team where you will perform the following: Understanding of scope of works from engineering drawings Doing site measurements as required by the project Material quotations from suppliers Accurate estimation of other materials and labour components Liaising with clients for clarifications Take-offs and formal quotations to be sent to clients Excellent with numbers, calculation, dimensions and doing take-offs using Bluebeam software or other tools Working in a team environment About You The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a steel estimator, working in a project-based environment. Further to this, the ideal candidate will have: An engineering background (i.e., Civil, Mechanical) - Highly Advantageous Experience in steel fabrication & structural steel environment - Highly Advantageous Experience in platework, lobster backs and rolled steel fabrication in mining applications - Advantageous Must have experience allocating labour hours for workshop, site, etc. Proficient with Microsoft suite Excellent time management skills, with the ability to plan and prioritise their work to achieve deadlines and objectives If you are an experienced Project Engineer and seeking a challenging role in a manufacturing/construction environment, send your resume to to discuss your application in further detail. #J-18808-Ljbffr
