To deliver within a multidisciplinary approach a broad range of cardiac, respiratory and neurological clinical measurement services, by providing operational management and professional leadership of the discipline streams operating within the Clinical Measurements Unit / Cardiac Services.
Develop and implement strategic plans to ensure unit performance measures, key performance indicators and service delivery to clients of the Mackay HHS meets expected State and District health priorities.
Ensure high standards of clinical practice by encouraging a culture of learning within the unit and monitoring of staff development and education in line with identified needs.
Be accountable for the administration, direction and control of the asset and financial management of the Clinical Measurements Unit / Cardiac Services Cost Centre.
About the Team The Clinical Measurements Unit / Cardiac Services is located in the Mackay Base Hospital and provides a specialist clinical support service to all Mackay HHS facilities, Specialists from other Queensland Health Service area, private medical practitioners and Specialists in the community. The Unit provides a broad range cardiac, respiratory and neurological test procedures, working in co-operation with other clinical departments, Specialist Medical Staff and Medical Trainees at the tertiary level. The district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
