Reporting to the Business Unit Head, this role will be responsible for overseeing and managing all operational aspects for the assigned state/region. This includes achieving strategic objectives of the business, managing resources efficiently, maintaining high standards of service delivery and driving optimal performance of teams.The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management capabilities to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.Key accountabilities of the role include:Ownership and responsibility of the Financial, Technical and QHSE performance of all projects assigned by the Business Unit – including management of the P&L.Responsibility for effective staff allocation and asset utilisation to achieve optimal results.Delivering all key reporting metrics associated with the State operations including Financial, Safety & Operational parameters.As a critical member of the Water Technologies Senior Leadership Team, contribute and participate in the development of the Water Technologies Strategic direction.Assist in overall Business Development including cultivating new business opportunities.Lead change management initiatives to adapt to market trends and evolving business needs.Leadership, mentoring and development of junior staff.Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and community leaders.Address and resolve operational issues promptly to maintain stakeholder satisfaction.Opportunities & Challenges of the role:Supporting multiple projects and deadlines concurrently.Meeting tight delivery timeframes for sites.Working within established budgets.Managing client expectations and working through innovative solutions.Leading the team by example.About You:Tertiary qualification in Chemical, Environmental, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.7+ years’ experience in relevant industry, of which at least 2 years in a managerial role leading teams.Strong understanding of Water industry regulations, standards, and best practices.Strong Financial Acumen: Understanding of budgeting, cost management, and financial reporting.Advocate of Quality, Health and Safety standards and supporter of QHSE initiatives and best practices.Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.SciDev delivers world-leading chemistry and water treatment technology with end-to-end support from our specialist scientists and engineers.
