The Team:The Department of Health Tasmania oversees various hospitals across the state, including the Royal Hobart Hospital, Launceston General Hospital, Northwest Regional Hospital, and Mersey Community Hospital, as well as district hospitals and ambulance services. Additionally, it provides community health, mental health, and primary healthcare services to the Tasmanian community through more than 300 sites. The Medicine department works closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.The Role:Provide and maintain a high-level administrative and clerical support service to the Clinical Director Acute Medicine of the relevant service and other department managers including the management of clinical, financial and administrative information and correspondence, which is often confidential and highly sensitive in nature.You will need:Manage and coordinate an effective and efficient administrative and clerical support service to the Clinical Director Acute Medicine of the relevant service and other department managers.Provide direct support to the Clinical Director Acute Medicine of the relevant service through minute/note taking, preparation of correspondence, organisation and scheduling of meetings and other appointments as well as providing a customer focused reception/telephone screening service.Creation and maintaining clinical rosters for the Service, liaising with various medical staff and hospital departments to ensure information integrity.Details of appointment:Permanent, part-time, day worker position, working 15.2 hours per fortnight, commencing from 7 April 2025. *notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full-time, part-time, and casual vacancies.Salary: $73,811 to $79,779 per annum (Pro rata).
