We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Orthodontic therapist to join our team, home to four board registered Specialist Orthodontist who are platinum elite Invisalign providers.
We are a multidisciplinary practice, home to 60 practitioners, 20 of which are board registered specialists in the fields of oral surgery, endodontics, orthodontics, periodontics and prosthodontics. Within our orthodontic practice, Collins Street Orthodontics, we focus on providing the highest quality of service and care. Our team is knowledgeable and caring and whilst the team operates at a fast-paced environment, patient care remains a constant priority.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Oral Health Therapist or Dental Hygienist to join our specialist Orthodontic team on a part-time basis, with the potential to increase to full-time hours. The ideal candidate will have prior orthodontic experience and a strong understanding of orthodontic procedures. We are looking for someone who can start with 2 days per week, with the opportunity to expand to 3 or 4 days. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled clinician eager to further develop their expertise and take on a range of advanced orthodontic responsibilities in a specialist environment.
What You'll Do: Collaborate with Orthodontists: Work closely with our Orthodontists and the team to provide exceptional patient care.Orthodontic Record Taking: Perform clinical photography, iTero scans, and orthodontic radiography.Invisalign Support: Place/remove Invisalign attachments, deliver aligners, and manage treatment progression.Braces Preparation: Prepare for the banding of ceramic/metal braces and assist with appliance adjustments.Orthodontic Appliances: Insert and remove wires, elastics, power chains, and both fixed and removable appliances.Retention Care: Manage fixed/removable retention and complete retention checks.Patient Education: Provide dental hygiene education to help patients maintain optimal oral health.Clinical Excellence: Maintain accurate, detailed clinical records for every patient.What We're Looking For: APHRA Registration: As a Dental Hygienist and/or Oral Health Therapist.Orthodontic Experience: Previous experience in orthodontics is essential.Motivated and Self-Driven: A strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and in a team.Proactive and Communicative: Take initiative and demonstrate excellent communication skills.Ownership & Growth: Motivation to improve and take ownership of your role.
