Contract Manager and Team Leader – Concrete

Details: Roads ACT is looking for candidates that have demonstrable technical skills in road-related infrastructure, coupled with project management experience (procurement/contract management/contract administration).
This role requires a motivated person who works collaboratively with the team and has a strong focus on delivering high-quality work. This role is responsible for managing, coordinating, planning, and delivering a range of infrastructure maintenance projects (in particular concrete-related), with accountability for contract and business-related administration, planning of works, productivity and efficiency outputs, and ensuring that works on site meet quality standards, WHS, and environmental requirements.
The successful candidate will assist with the procurement of several contracts including, but not limited to concrete supply, concrete pump, formwork, reinforcing, and other supplies required to support the in-house concrete teams.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:
1. Visa holders are eligible to apply for both permanent and temporary roles. Those with eligible visas may be considered for permanent employment, while individuals with temporary residency or limited-duration visas may be offered permanent employment for the duration of their visas.
2. Driver’s licence (C-Class) is essential.
3. Tertiary qualifications in engineering and/or relevant infrastructure disciplines is highly desirable.
4. Diploma in Frontline Management or equivalent – essential to be commenced within three (3) months of appointment. (TCCS sponsored training)
5. Prepare a work zone traffic management plan (PWZT) qualification essential or obtained within six months of appointment. (TCCS sponsored training)
6. CPCWHS1001 - Prepare to work safely in the construction industry – essential on appointment.
7. Asbestos awareness card or a willingness to obtain - Asbestos Awareness Training and evidence of completion delivered by a Registered Training Organisation is required before commencement.
8. Proficient with using Microsoft Office Suite programs is highly desirable, particularly Microsoft Projects.
9. This position does not require a pre-employment medical.
10. This position does not require a Working with Vulnerable People Check.
