Coordinated Care Services (CCS) is currently seeking experienced, emotionally intelligent, and trauma-informed female support workers to join our team and provide compassionate, person-centered support to an NDIS participant with a psychosocial disability and complex support needs .
This role is ideal for someone who brings calm energy, emotional maturity, professional boundaries, and excellent communication skills, and who understands how to support someone with DID, FND, C-PTSD, and emotional dysregulation in a respectful, patient, and grounded manner.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide consistent, respectful in-home and community support.
* Assist with daily living tasks (e.g., meal prep, prompting, light domestic support).
* Support emotional regulation using grounding tools, distraction techniques, and DBT-informed approaches.
* Respond calmly and professionally across emotional regulation levels (from baseline to dissociative states).
* Maintain and respect clear professional boundaries.
* Prompt and support the participant in working toward their NDIS goals.
* Follow privacy and safety protocols, including consent for sharing information or images.
* Provide presence and support — not overstep or overshare.
* Accurately document shift notes and observations.
* Collaborate with a broader team (including Support Coordinator and Allied Health).
About You – The Right Fit Will Have:
* Experience or knowledge in supporting clients with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) or Functional Neurological Disorder (FND)
* Emotional intelligence and calm under pressure
* Excellent communication and active listening skills
* Clear respect for professional boundaries, privacy, and consent
* Willingness to follow routines and adapt to the participant’s support needs on any given day
* The ability to maintain a supportive, structured, and grounded presence, even in challenging situations
* A sense of humour, empathy, and gentle approach to building trust with the participant and their internal family system
Essential Requirements:
* Cert III or IV in Disability, Mental Health, Community Services (or relevant experience)
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Working with Vulnerable People Card (WWVP) – ACT/NSW
* First Aid & CPR Certificate
* Current Driver’s Licence & reliable vehicle
* COVID-19 vaccination certificate
* Clear professional references
Desirable (but not essential):
* Lived or professional experience working with psychosocial disability or DID
* Training in DBT or grounding techniques
* Experience supporting participants with complex trauma or high emotional sensitivity
* Knowledge of person-centered recovery models
