A commercial Project Manager is required for commercial construction projects by a local contractor in Darwin.

Our client, a local company specialising in construction of commercial and government facilities, is recruiting an experienced Project Manager to join its team in Darwin to work on various commercial and building projects.
Your new role:
You will be responsible for coordinating and controlling the design, procurement, and construction phases of the projects to ensure completion in accordance with the contract and budget. You will be the point of contact for the client and represent the company with internal and external stakeholders.
Your key responsibilities:
Liaise with and advise clients on project feasibility and project delivery methodologies. Develop a detailed brief in conjunction with the client and develop a project plan including scope, budget, schedule, and risk items. Tender, procure and manage suitable consultants to undertake any necessary work, including project documentation, drawings, and specifications. Implement design coordination and project control meetings to ensure accurate and timely progress of project activities. Liaise with relevant statutory bodies as required to obtain advice or approval for project work, including any planning or building approvals. Report to the client and project stakeholders on project progress including issues on scope, program, budget and variation or change. Oversee the construction team during construction stage to ensure progress meets the design intent, project plan and client expectations, and provide support relating to the design and construction interface. Enter and monitor project design costs and provide monthly forecasts. What you'll need to succeed:
To be successful in this role you will have:
Significant experience in Project Management working on commercial building projects. Demonstrated experience in handling the design phase of projects and ability to read drawings. Demonstrated experience in creating work schedules, verifying and assessing ITPs and RFIs. Demonstrated experience of engaging and managing subcontractors. The ability to work autonomously and proactively in a supportive team environment. The ability to make quick, clear and concise decisions and communicate them to a wide range of stakeholders, from clients to consultants to subcontractors and suppliers. Thorough understanding of QHSE legislative requirements. Experience using Microsoft Project. A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline is desirable. What you'll get in return
