Seeking an experienced Caretaker / Building Manager to undertake the day to day operations and upkeep of well maintained buildings. This is a unique opportunity to live on-site and take an active role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of residential and commercial properties.
Day to day your role will include but will not be limited to:
1. Inspect grounds, facilities, and equipment routinely to determine necessity of repairs, maintenance or cleaning, and carry out works where possible.
2. Manage common areas for all buildings, ensuring they are kept clean and presentable, light gardening duties where required.
3. Plan, schedule and coordinate general maintenance, cleaning, landscaping and major repairs across the buildings.
4. Oversee contractors' work to ensure it is completed to the necessary standards and in a timely manner.
5. Safely operate and maintain plant and machinery, as required.
6. Be available to respond to emergencies and take immediate action.
7. Liaising with and giving direction to the Cleaners.
8. Liaise with residents and Body Corporate, and attend relevant meetings.
9. Using PropertyMe software day-to-day for maintenance records and work orders.
To be considered for this role you must:
1. Be available to live onsite.
2. This role will require weekend work, with rostered days off during the week.
3. Hands on and ability to work unsupervised.
4. Demonstrate a genuine passion and dedication to the role.
5. Excellent communication skills.
6. Minimum 3 years previous experience in caretaking.
