Labourpower is currently seeking Materials Handlers with counterbalance forklift experience for food packaging manufacturing roles based in Braeside. As a Materials Handler, you will be required to gather materials to feed machines in production and supply them to operators inside the site's clean room area. The role will also include counterbalance forklift operation for stock retrieval and movement around the facility. Other duties may include labeling and general stores duties.
Successful applicants should have:
1. A valid LF Forklift licence, with at least 6 months operating experience
2. Experience moving large quantities of stock around a warehouse
3. Previous food manufacturing experience is advantageous
4. Be available to start immediately
5. The confidence and ability to work unsupervised when needed
6. The ability to load and unload trucks and containers with a forklift
7. Good understanding of GMP & HACCP
8. All required PPE – including steel capped boots and high visibility clothing
9. A valid driver’s licence and own vehicle
10. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting all OH&S regulations
11. Full work rights with 5 days availability on Day or Afternoon shift
