The Role:
We are seeking Consultant Anaesthetists to work in a dynamic team of medical professionals at a state-of-the-art hospital.
Located in a regional city that offers excellent schools, shopping and cultural precincts, sporting facilities, and various tertiary facilities.
The hospital is 1 hour and 25 minutes from Tullamarine (Melbourne) airport, with daily return flights direct to Sydney.
The hospital has 11 operating theatres catering for all major types of adult and paediatric surgery within the region.
Candidates must have extensive knowledge and demonstrated clinical ability commensurate with that expected of a specialist anaesthetist and proven ability to develop and maintain effective service interactions required in the operation of a busy anaesthetic service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide specialist anaesthetic services, including appropriate pre and post-operative care, within credentialed privileges to patients of the Hospital.
* Provide professional leadership, training, and supervision to doctors in training, other clinical staff, and medical students.
* Teach anaesthetic trainees as well as other junior medical staff, medical students, and nursing staff.

* Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA)
* Fellowship of The Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) or equivalent
