Executive Director Aboriginal Health and Wellbeing
The Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) is seeking an experienced Executive Manager to lead our efforts in advancing health equity and improving outcomes for Aboriginal communities.
About the Role:
The Executive Director, Aboriginal Health and Wellbeing will be a member of the Executive Leadership team, responsible for transforming services to address health equity and improve the lives of Aboriginal people through building strong partnerships and designing culturally safe services.
The Director will elevate the focus on Aboriginal expertise to drive shared decision-making and innovative collaborations, informing and leading how MLHD engages with local Aboriginal communities and Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the team.
* Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to stakeholders within the LHD and region, in relation to strategic priorities for Aboriginal Health.
* Support the development and implementation of culturally acceptable plans, policy, services, and programs that achieve positive health and wellbeing outcomes for local Aboriginal people and communities.
* Lead the implementation of state guidelines, programs, and priorities, balancing evidence-based approaches with innovative solutions that work with local communities, ensuring programs represent industry best practice.
* Lead and manage processes that monitor and evaluate services and programs, measuring Aboriginal and population health outcomes against agreed indicators, and recommending actions for continuous improvement.
* Oversee and monitor expenditure, revenue, and activity to ensure efficient, effective, and sustainable service delivery occurs within allocated budget and delegation.
