Reporting to the Senior Quality Engineer, your key duties will include:Technical support and first point of contact for all aspects of IQC daily activities & processes – IGIR inspections, IQC inspections, Spot Checks.Investigate quality issues and non-conformances, determining root causes and implementing effective solutions.Act as the initial point of triage for root cause analysis.Offer support and guidance to the IQC team when detailed teardown investigations are necessary and be present to demonstrate or collaborate during the process.Participate in weekly quality calls across all business units, representing the IQC team to share insights and findings.Conduct visual, physical and testing inspections of incoming products from CPT, OPE, FC and accessories.Resolving any quality-related issues that arise during inspections and facilitating communication with relevant departments—QA, Engineering, PM, and the Asia teams—while advocating for a final decision on the handling of the shipment.Assist the IQC Manager in training new quality inspectors on inspection techniques and quality standards.Work closely with local warehousing teams such as inbounds, inventory, storage teams to support IQC operations.Support IQC Manager in technical aspects of rework projects.Provide technical support during rework operations and troubleshooting.Work with quality & engineering teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.Design and implement process improvements, equipment modifications, and layout changes to enhance rework productivity.Develop and review rework plans including work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).Minimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.At least 2 years of experience in quality control or engineering.Experience in specific industry, e.g. power tools, manufacturing, electronics.Ability to meticulously examine products and processes to identify defects and ensure compliance.Strong capability to analyse data and inspection results to assess quality trends and root causes of defects.Ability to identify quality issues and implement effective corrective actions.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Familiarity with mechanical systems and components, including gears, motors, and bearings.Understanding the specific functions and capabilities of different power tools.A proactive approach to implementing process improvements and maintaining a continual improvement mindset.Strong understanding of quality control methodologies and tools (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO standards).
