The role
As part of our Operations group, the Senior Support Technician will plan and perform routine preventative maintenance activities, along with reactive maintenance tasks associated with the electronic security system at Correctional Facilities and Projects located at Gatton Queensland. Perform and support the planning, delivery, and reporting requirements pertaining to the long term maintenance contract at Gatton Correctional Facilities and assist Projects as directed, to ensure contract performance is met.
Further, the successful candidate will:
* Provide support to the implementation and execution of the Annual Works Plan.
* Plan and perform reactive, routine and preventative maintenance activities in accordance with contractual obligations. Systems include, but are not limited to SMS, CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarm, Video Analytics, Intercom, and Networks.
* Support the delivery of Variations and Minor Works projects.
* Support the delivery of Saab Civil Projects by participating in assigned projects tasks, including but not limited to equipment installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and witness testing.
* Complete, and where necessary, develop maintenance procedures required for the reactive and preventative maintenance tasks. Sign-off and submit test records as proof of work performed.
Flexible work arrangements such as 9 day fortnight will be considered for this role.
About you
Your skills and experience will include:
* At least 5 years’ experience in the security industry with IP based systems.
* Experience with security systems IT hardware (for example network hardware, workstation build and modification, servers and storage array) and troubleshooting.
* Experience with setup/configuration and installation of Gallagher access control and intruder alarm systems.
* Experience with setup/configuration of IP based CCTV and intercom systems.
* Experience with servicing and maintenance of general security system equipment.
As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants will be required to hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance to baseline level or have the ability to gain one.
