The Garli Group is rapidly growing and we are excited to be looking for a Civil Supervisor to join our construction team on our upcoming project 140km North of Perth on a 10:4 DIDO roster (vehicle provided).
This role will see you reporting directly to the Project Manager where you will be an integral part of our close-knit team! MRWA and Mining Civil works experience will be highly regarded.
The Garli Group is a young and diverse aboriginal business centred around the provision of civil construction disciplines, workplace medicals, environmental services, marine industry support, and providing civil works for the mining industry.
We have offices located in Perth, Brisbane, and South Headland.
Duties will include: Overseeing works delivery crews, ensuring their understanding of the project requirements, scheduling of works, resource allocation, and zero harm compliance.
Ensuring all approvals are provided prior to the commencement of works.
Securing and coordinating necessary resources including plant, materials, subcontractors, gravel, and construction water for the delivery of programmed works.
Providing advice on technical matters as required.
Regularly reporting of work performance including measuring, monitoring, and reporting on KPIs.
Signing off on documentation as required (job specific, WHS documentation, permits, etc.).
Maintain accurate, organised records both electronically and in hard copy formats.
Conduct PSI/Toolbox meetings.
Minimum Requirements: Relevant tertiary qualifications.
A valid driver's licence.
Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role within the civil construction industry.
Strong supervisory experience across road construction, civil earthworks, and associated disciplines.
Experience in planning works and maintaining the scheduled program.
Demonstrated knowledge of road construction, including materials selection for construction.
Sound understanding of pavement construction, bituminous surfacing, and asphalting processes and techniques.
Ability to choose and assign appropriate plant and equipment for the execution of the works.
Ability to review and implement traffic management plans.
Decent level of computer literacy, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.
Strong ability to work with others: clients, fellow workers, subordinates, and management.
