Bunbury Basketball Association Inc (BBA) is a sporting organisation established in 1956, within the South West of Western Australia. We are dedicated to promoting and supporting the sport of basketball in the Bunbury region, with a growing membership of 2,000+ across both domestic and representative programs. Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organised Competition and Operations Manager to join our team. This key role involves overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of our basketball competitions and events, ensuring smooth operations and a high-quality experience for all participants.
Salary & Application:
The Competition and Operations Manager is a full-time position, offering a salary package that reflects the scope of responsibility and contribution to the Association. Due to the nature and responsibility of this role, flexibility in working hours is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the scheduling and logistics of all basketball competitions and events
Coordinate with clubs, referees, volunteers, and other stakeholders
Oversee the registration process and ensure compliance with competition rules and policies
Develop and implement strategies to enhance the quality and reach of our competitions
Handle day-to-day administrative tasks and operations related to competitions
Assist in the promotion and marketing of events to increase participation and engagement
Provide exceptional customer service to members, participants, and the community

Qualifications, Capability and Experience:
Previous experience in sports management, operations, or a related field (desirable).
Strong organisational and multitasking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Passion for basketball and community sports
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check are essential
