About the Role
The Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN), Cancer Services is seeking a dedicated Medical Oncologist to join our team, providing essential cancer services to both the Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH) and the Broken Hill Health Service (BHHS). Our long-standing partnership with BHHS has been pivotal in supporting the regional and remote healthcare needs of cancer patients for over 20 years.
As a Medical Oncologist, you will deliver safe and effective clinical services across both the RAH and BHHS. Your role will include:
4. Conducting in-person consultations and chemotherapy services at the Broken Hill Chemotherapy Centre, which offers comprehensive outpatient treatment for solid cancers.
5. Participating in telehealth clinics for remote patient reviews.
6. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including experienced cancer care coordinators, administrative staff, and treatment nurses, who support a well-equipped facility with 5 chairs and 2 outpatient treatment beds.
7. Participation in clinical activities at Royal Adelaide Hospital, cancer MDT, cancer clinics, teaching and research
This position plays a crucial role in advancing best practices in oncology care for regional patients and coordinating care across BHHS and RAH.

8. Vocational Qualifications : MBBS or equivalent, plus Fellowship with advanced training in Medical Oncology.

11. Commitment to Education : Experience in clinical teaching and a dedication to quality improvement initiatives.
12. Focus on Regional and Remote Health : Experience in coordinating care for regional and remote cancer patients, with a willingness to travel to Broken Hill.
