Operations Manager, Outside School Hours Care TheChancery in the Catholic Diocese of Lismore provides support services across our parishes and many of our not-for-profit services and entities.We are one of the largest employers in the North Coast of NSW.Our service support is diverse and spans industries and services including outside hours school care (OSHC), health, aged care, early learning, parishes, hospitality venues and many other welfare and community services.The Diocese extends from Tweed Heads in the north to Laurieton in the south, with the nine OSHC Services overseen by this role located between Murwillumbah and Kempsey.The Opportunity The Diocese of Lismore seeks a committed and professional Operations Manager to lead our OSHC services through developing and enhancing a child safe culture of genuine care and service to children and their families.The position will act as the Nominated Supervisor for some of the services and has accountability for the service delivery, quality and compliance, financial performance, and child and staff wellbeing in the OSHC Services.This is a full-time, permanent opportunity and can be based at either Coffs Harbour or Lismore.The salary range for this role is $90,000 to $110,000 (based on skills and experience), plus car and superannuation.Key Responsibilities Provide supportive leadership, coaching, training and development to OSHC Coordinators and educators.Work collaboratively with school principals and other stakeholders to ensure the OSHC services work well and is promoted within the schools and communities in which they operate.Responsible for the overall operations, marketing, quality, staffing, budgeting and financial performance of the services.Responsible for internal and external reporting including operational and regulatory reporting.Maintain currency of legislation, standards, quality frameworks and best practice within the sector, and ensure operational changes are made appropriately in response.Ensure administrative processes are comprehensive and consistent across services.Ensure that OSHC services are strongly connected to their parish and school community and reflect the values and spirit of the Catholic Church. Organisational Culture We offer ongoing training and support, and you will have the opportunity to thrive in an inclusive and diverse team.We operate in a high trust, collegial environment which will suit someone who is professional and self-driven to achieve our goals and great outcomes for those we serve.The Operations Manager, OSHC will have access to a centralised support team within the Diocese who provide expertise and support to the OSHC services.Building relationships with the school and parish environments OSHC operates in is an integral component for this role.This position has regular travel requirements (within normal work hours) and occasional overnight trips.Selection Criteria Strong leadership skills and experience nurturing and empowering supervisors, with genuine care and interest in childcare service delivery.A qualification relevant to the position, such as a degree in finance, business or education.Demonstrated understanding of child safeguarding principles, NQF and NQS and ability to oversee strong workplace practices aligned with applicable legislation, standards and frameworks.Demonstrated commercial acumen, including managing an organisation's financial sustainability, marketing and promotion strategies and maintaining budgets to account for projected costs and seasonal trends.Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to effectively engage diverse stakeholders.Strong administration management skills, including working to deadlines, and ability to support a consistent approach and practices in a multi-site environment.Ability to demonstrate values that align with the mission and ethos of the Catholic Church.
