The Role:
Actively contribute to the clinical leadership and management of a multidisciplinary team, providing a high-quality, comprehensive, and specialist mental health service.
Provide clinical leadership and expert knowledge in all aspects of inpatient care.
Participate in and contribute to OPMHS Quality & Safety and Work Health & Safety processes, including developing and implementing safety systems, improvement initiatives, safeguarding practices for vulnerable people, and related training.
You will need:
* Demonstrated leadership skills and proven ability to manage and coordinate the clinical activities of a multidisciplinary adult inpatient mental health team.
* Demonstrated specialist level knowledge and advanced practice in acute inpatient psychiatry, including a proven ability to provide a range of assessments and specialist treatments and interventions.
* Capacity to effectively undertake a consultation/leadership role within a multidisciplinary adult inpatient setting, including providing supervision and support to other staff as required.
Details of appointment:
Permanent, full-time, day worker (with on-call) position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
Applicants should note that this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full-time, part-time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $114,851 to $121,886 per annum, with an 11.5% superannuation contribution on top of this amount.
In addition, the following allowances may be available:
* Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type.

* Payment of $15,000 staged over three years for Nurses and Midwives who move to Tasmania from interstate and remain employed full-time for three years or more.

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
* Desirable: Holds, or is working towards, a relevant postgraduate qualification.
* Current Driver’s Licence.
