The Opportunity
We are looking for a highly skilled Analytics Engineer / Developer with expertise in Power BI, SQL, and data engineering. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions, optimising data transformation processes, and automating reporting workflows. You will be responsible for, but not limited to:
1. Conduct in-depth technical analysis and collaborate with business teams to understand complex use cases.
2. Develop, implement, and maintain Business Intelligence solutions using Power BI, DAX, Power Query, Power BI Fabric, and Power Automate.
3. Optimise SQL queries to enhance performance and streamline data transformation processes.
4. Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest and curate data from multiple sources (on-premises/cloud, internal/external).
5. Create automated reporting solutions using Power BI Report Builder (paginated reports).
6. Work with version control and deployment workflows using tools such as Git, Bitbucket, or Azure DevOps.
7. Ensure adherence to best practices within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
To be successful in this role you will have:
1. Minimum 4 years’ experience in data-related roles.
2. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
3. Ability to work independently and under pressure, while maintaining stakeholder engagement.
4. In-depth technical expertise in Business Intelligence and data engineering.
5. High level of computer literacy with experience in Microsoft Office and data management systems.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in dealing with sensitive information.
7. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
