The Business Analyst is responsible for gathering and documenting business and functional requirements, and for documenting system and business knowledge. They will work proactively and collaboratively in cross-functional, scrum-like teams to delivermercial and client-focused oues in our projects and systems.
This role can be either a Permanent Full-Time opportunity or a day-rate contract. Based in our Sydney office on a hybrid basis (2 days per week in the office).
1. Gather and document business and functional requirements in collaboration with non-technical and technical users throughout Lonsec
2. Support in ideation and problem-solving with Project Leads, business partners, and internal & external software engineers
3. Groom requirements and translate needs with both business-users and software engineers
4. Mapping the user/customer journey for solution design
5. Participate actively and collaboratively in cross-functional, scrum-like project teams
6. Create user training documentation and facilitation
7. Support the testing function, and the Quality Assurance Manager during project cycles
Key Requirements:
8. Experience in and knowledge of the finance industry very highly regarded
9. 5+ years directmercial experience as a Business Analyst in software development projects
10. A keen entrepreneurial, and business-oriented mindset - someone that likes getting things done, not just getting things "right"
11. Experience working in geographically distributed project teams
12. Learning systems quickly in a document-light environment
13. Experience using Atlassian products (Jira and Confluence)
14. Experience in cross-functional, scrum-like project teams
15. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
16. Strong technical documentation skills
17. Keen interest in furthering knowledge of business and technology environment
18. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to clearlymunicate business requirements, technical issues and solutions will be key to this role
19. Highly developedmunication and customer service skills - particularly with non-technical stakeholders
20. Gather and understand requirements, facilitate stakeholder meetings.
21. Understand technology concepts, translate business requirements to technical specifications.
22. Analyze data, rmend effective solutions toplex problems.
23. Adaptability and Learning Agility: Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends.
Essential qualifications:
24. An undergraduate degree in a relevant area of studies - Finance,merce, Technology, Data
25. Change experience, including creation of material to support user adoption/handover
26. Data Domain experience, Data Mapping, Data modelling etc.
Highly Regarded Qualifications:
27. A post graduate degree in a relevant area of studies
28. CX/UX mapping experience a plus
