Your role as a Pathology Collector Reliever

As a Pathology Collector (Phlebotomist), you will be collecting blood & coordinating specimen samples from patients, using your empathy and drive to deliver great customer service and quality healthcare.
Reporting to the Collection Lead, and joining a passionate team, you will play a pivotal role in positively impacting the health of Australians.
This are part time vacancies available in the Ballarat, Warrnambool, and Geelong regions.
Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Collecting samples (blood and non-blood) with care and attention
2. Keeping meticulous records for every patient and sample
3. Deliver documentation within strict turnaround times
4. Preparing and packaging specimens for transport and testing
5. Liaising with customers, clinic staff and couriers

About you
13. Availability to fill shifts at different Collection Centres and Hospital Environments for scheduled and unplanned absences
14. Demonstrated experience and knowledge in Phlebotomy or a Certificate III in Pathology Collection would be advantageous
15. Transferable skills gained in other positions within the healthcare industry highly desirable
16. You have excellent customer service and communication skills, with a high level of empathy
17. You are organised, with strong time management and attention to detail
18. You are able to work autonomously, sometimes working independently within a collection centre or hospital environmentHold a valid Driver's license and have flexibility to travel to multiple clinics
19. Hold a working with Children’s Check or be willing to obtain one
20. You must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident or a New Zealand citizen, or hold a valid visa with permission to work
