Responsibilities
* Create and execute diverse menu items that reflect seasonal and local ingredients.
* Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure high standards of quality and taste.
* Manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to foster skill development.
* Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations while maintaining a clean kitchen environment.
* Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food costs to achieve profitability.
* Collaborate with restaurant management to plan special events and promote unique culinary offerings.
* Stay abreast of industry trends and innovations to continually enhance the dining experience.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Chef, with a strong portfolio showcasing culinary skills.
* In-depth knowledge of various cuisines, cooking techniques, and presentation standards.
* Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage kitchen staff.
* Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
* Understanding of food safety regulations and proper kitchen sanitation practices.
* Ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
* Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
* Culinary degree or certification from an accredited institution is preferred.
* Experience in a high-end restaurant or resort kitchen is a plus.
