Job Title: Part-time Career Medical Officer
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated medical professional to join our team as a part-time Career Medical Officer at Newcastle Private Hospital.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual who wants to develop their skills and grow within a supportive team. As a Part-time Career Medical Officer, you will work up to 21 hours per fortnight, with the possibility of ad-hoc shifts as required.
The ideal candidate will have current Medical Practitioner AHPRA Registration, PGY5 or more experience, and Advanced Life Support certification. You will be responsible for providing medical support to consultants and nursing staff, aiming to improve clinical outcomes and patient management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Immediate day-to-day medical care of inpatients, including post-surgical patients, cardiac patients, medical patients, and maternity patients
* Providing evidence-based medical care to patients of varying ages and cultural groups
* Identifying deteriorating patients and providing immediate resuscitation
To be successful in this role, you will possess excellent clinical assessment and communication skills, demonstrated flexibility and organisational skills, and a NSW driver's licence. Prior experience in Critical Care/ICU medicine is desirable.
