Deputy Usher of the Black Rod - Re-Advertised
The Deputy Usher of the Black Rod provides efficient, structured and systematic services to support the Legislative Council, its members and committees. Responsible to the Deputy Clerk for the efficient and effective operation of the Legislative Council Chamber Support (LCCS) team, including the maintenance of parliamentary records and databases, the preparation of procedural documents and the provision of a communications and information service.
The position performs duties as a Clerk-at-the-Table on sitting days and undertakes research and analysis and prepares parliamentary-related information and written reports.
The position assists the Usher of the Black Rod with ceremonial proceedings, and parliamentary functions and events. This position acts as Usher of the Black Rod when the Usher is absent.
