The Individual Support Services (ISS) team works in close collaboration to deliver bespoke support packages informed by each child’s needs and focuses on increasing the capacity of their support network to meet these.Position can be based either Rockhampton or Gladstone office with willingness to work across both areas.Full time permanent position.Level 6 under the SCHCADS award. Salary range is $106,390 – $111,093 plus super.Key responsibilities of the role include:Provide an outstanding therapeutic service to children and young people.Enhance psychosocial and developmental outcomes for children and young people impacted by trauma.Encourage and strengthen supportive relationships with adult caregivers.Work with ISS team members, other professionals and agencies to enhance client outcomes.Minimum Requirements:Relevant tertiary qualification (Psychology, Speech Pathology or Occupational Therapy) and applicable registration.At least five (5) years’ experience working therapeutically with children, young people and their families who have been impacted by trauma or have experienced abuse and neglect, or more than five years’ experience working in similar roles.Experience providing individual and group therapy to children, young people and their families.Knowledge of family therapy frameworks and ability to apply knowledge to practice during engagement and intervention with clients individually and as a family unit (desirable).Other RequirementsEligibility for a Working with Children Check or professional exemption.Legally able to work in Australia (proof of eligibility will be requested).About ApplyingJob applications will be reviewed as soon as submitted.
