You'll be part of a dedicated team consisting of administration staff and a Practice Nurse, using the Genie medical software.We pride ourselves on delivering the highest level of patient care in a professional and comfortable environment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients receive exceptional service and support throughout their journey.The RoleAs our Practice Manager, you will have a diverse and dynamic work experience, undertaking a wide range of duties and responsibilities. Your main objective will be to oversee the daily operations of the practice and lead the team, enabling the specialist to focus on providing exceptional patient care.This is a permanent full-time position working 5 days per week and the hours are 8.30am to 5pm. The salary is $85-95k per annum depending upon previous skills and knowledge.Your Duties & ResponsibilitiesProvide supervision and leadership to the team including training and performance managementStay abreast and have your finger on the pulse in relation to billing, patient flow, patient care and theatre managementManagement and co-ordination of billings (consultation, surgical and health funds)Being a busy surgical practice, you will also provide admin supportCoordinate surgery admissions, hospital paperwork and theatre lists in conjunction with administration staffEfficient management of all patient data, appointments, procedures, clinical files, correspondence and accountsMaintain high standards of practice processes and procedures for maximum efficiencyMonitor clinic performance and collaborate with the accountant in relation to financial reportingEnsure compliance with HR best practices systems, risk management and WHSWork closely with the doctor to ensure the best possible experience is provided by the clinic to the patients and familiesCoordinate staff payroll, accounts receivable/payable and maintain debt preventionFoster strong relationships with healthcare professionals and stakeholders within the health communityTo be successful in this position, you will have the following attributes:Previous experience as a Practice Manager or Senior Medical Secretary in a busy private specialist practice (experience working for a surgeon will be highly regarded)Competent in using Genie medical software is desirable (training available if required) and Microsoft Office SuiteYou understand the operational functions within a specialist practice and the importance of a Practice Manager role in ensuring the smooth operational daily function.
