Principal Civil Engineer | WA Asset Projects We are currently working with a Tier 1 mining company who is looking to engage an experienced Principal Civil Engineer for a period of 6 months, Perth based. This is a key role within the team and will build on existing frameworks and processes to champion ongoing improvements and delivery quality. This role will support the Western Australia Asset Projects portfolio from Studies (Development) through to Execution (Delivery). These projects cover a full range of assets and locations across the clients mining and non-mining operations. This is an immediate start for the right candidate. Responsibilities include however not limited to: Providing Civil Engineering technical input and overview, taking projects from Studies (Development) through to Execution (Delivery). Technical aspects of these projects include civil earthworks design, surface water hydrology, stormwater management, hydrogeology, and geotechnical investigations. Reviewing the pre-determined critical technical deliverables from Engineering/ Technical Service Providers. Identifying issues and suggesting solutions or improvements. Reporting to Area Lead Engineering, your accountabilities include however not limited to: Providing input to basis of design, scope of work, engineering management plan, tender submission reviews, responses to technical queries and requests for information and sustainability in design activity. Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required: Demonstrated relevant Civil Engineering experience in projects. Knowledge and experience in the application of the principles of or related to: Civil earthworks Surface water hydrology Hydrogeology Geotechnical investigations Strong Technical Management experience. Experience working with or managing Engineering Service Providers and deliverable development. Civil / Environmental Engineer or similar discipline. The candidate rate is $120 - $130 per hour, depending on experience.
