Clinical Nurse Specialist (Grade 2) Role Summary
The Clinical Nurse Specialist will use their expert clinical nursing knowledge and skills to provide advanced practice responsibility to clients of the Sexual Assault Service aged 14 years or older.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide medical and forensic responses and health care, including crisis responses, non-acute care, and follow-up medical care and health care navigation.
* Integrate nursing care with care provided by psychosocial clinicians.
* Contribute to the development of the MNCLHD and implement the roles and responsibilities of the Clinical Director iPARVAN.
* Mentor staff, develop professional skills through training and education, and advise on caring for victim-survivors of sexual assault.
* Participate in regular team meetings, strategic planning, quality improvement activities, administrative tasks, and research and education delivery.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
