An opportunity has arisen to appoint a Product Manager for our Tools category, based in either Melbourne or Brisbane.
The role and you:
Play an integral part in the coordination of the Automotive Tools category, including the maintenance of internal systems and supporting collateral. This fast-paced role reports directly to the Merchandise Manager and ensures that product and supporting ranging plans are rolled out to a high standard, and to schedule.
To be successful in this role, you will have a technical mindset, an exceptional knowledge & understanding of automotive tools, possess experience in product & packaging development, are hands on and enjoy learning and researching opportunities.
Duties include:
4. Plan, develop and execute product strategies that drive revenue, growth, and profitability around automotive tools.
5. Managing the full product portfolio on own and major national tool brands which includes competitor landscaping, identifying/writing product specifications, range reviews and product vitality
6. Product research, brand development, forecasting launch quantities and monitoring ongoing stock levels,
7. Artwork and user manual reviews and creation (Packaging, F&B, Specifications, Assembly/Operation Guides)
8. Report preparation and presentations
9. Working closely and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure QA & compliance, including legal departments and agents
10. Collaboration with local and overseas vendors and quality assurance teams - ensuring products within the portfolio comply with local laws and regulations
11. Occasional requirement to travel domestically and internationally
The successful applicant will have:
12. Demonstrated Product Management / Development experience within the automotive tools category (preferred)
13. Proven experience in product & packaging development of consumer goods
14. Experienced in ERP systems & well-developed excel skills, including other Microsoft packages
15. Strong communication & negotiation skills with the ability to develop solid stakeholder relationships (overseas)
16. A hands-on approach with a proactive attitude and mindset to ‘operate it like it’s your own’
17. An eye for detail, with excellent organisational skills
